Forest Adventure Session for Adults

Poster with the key event details shown: text reads "postponed until 15/06/26. 1pm-5pm at Coed Rhosmaencrug.

What to expect: This session is a gentle introduction to some basic bushcraft skills with Catherine Moyle, founder of natur ni. This is a fully sensory experience that will show you a range of ways to experience and connect to nature here in this wildlife woodland, while giving you ideas on how you can continue to be more present and connected to nature in any green space you may have nearby.

The session will take place outdoors among the trees and is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all levels of experience. You will be invited to take part in the making of the shelter(s) and in the foraging, at a pace and level that you feel comfortable with. The atmosphere throughout is relaxed, respectful, and non-judgemental.

Refreshments: A selection of hot drinks and snacks will be available. Please inform us of any dietary requirements via the booking form.

Why: The woodland owner and a small group of local volunteers have been working tirelessly to improve the woodland for biodiversity, while also adding in some low-impact visitor facilities. This celebration is the culmination of completing a 2-year grant * funded project, where wildlife and small groups of visitors or volunteers can enjoy the site harmoniously.

Parking and car sharing: The woodland site is quite remote (that’s why it’s great for wildlife!). It also means that public transport is infrequent and parking at the site is very limited. Therefore, we have arranged car sharing for this event from a nearby village. More details given at point of booking.

Subsidy: We are fortunate enough to have been able to subsidise most of the event costs, thanks to the funded project. This is how we are able to offer the event at the reduced rate £5 per adult.

*Grant: funded through The Woodland Investment Grant (TWIG), delivered by the National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with the Welsh Government's National Forest for Wales Programme.
